Facebook for BlackBerry: the new version 1.7.0.18
For those who did not had noticed, Facebook has reached 1.7 (namely: 1.7.0.18) for all the smartphone BlackBerry (Storm included). Available on the App World or by going to blackberry.com / facebook mobile phone browser, Facebook 1.7 improves the amount of information available from the application, instead of having to go every time on the web version from your browser.
We therefore support for news feeds (with the option to select and filter of news, status updates, photos and links), better use of caching and pre-fetching the feeds, thus reducing the loading time. The price to pay? The application is free, but these improvements are paid with a slightly lower quality graphics than the previous version. Some users also complain about a lower speed, but others say that it is faster than before … you?
